Description
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the country/region leadership team as a finance business partner to devise and execute short and long-term strategic goals for the company.
- Supervise financial operations to ensure compliance with local and EU regulatory standards.
- Maintain the financial integrity of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial statements, and overseeing statutory and safeguarding audits.
- Assist in all tax compliance matters and manage relationships with Luxembourg tax authorities, including addressing queries, handling audits, disputes, and tax litigation.
- Execute and manage financial regulatory reporting to the CSSF.
- Support license applications and optimize the business entity structure in Luxembourg in alignment with future expansion strategies.
- Aid in analyzing and structuring commercial transactions and contracts, as well as supporting new business initiatives, products, or services.
- Administer financial oversight and reinforce controls in Luxembourg.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and supervise current and future investments and capital structures.
- Ensure the financial well-being of the business in the region by accurately maintaining and reporting on key financial metrics.
- Stay updated on laws, regulations, and compliance obligations within the payment industry to liaise with the legal and tax teams, regulators, and law enforcement authorities.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, including 3 years as a Head of Finance.
- Previous senior financial role within a regulated establishment is crucial.
- Profound knowledge of financial planning, financial regulations, and risk management practices.
- Extensive experience with tax matters, including interactions with tax authorities, managing audits, and handling disputes.
- Prior experience in regulatory reporting and engagement with regulators.
- Significant experience working with external advisors, internal controls, and compliance-related matters.
- Capability to navigate ambiguity and guide teams through periods of change.
- Must be a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); additional qualifications like Company Secretary (CS) are advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of French is beneficial.
- Based in Luxembourg.
