DevOps Database Administrator (Exchange)
The exchange team is responsible for developing and maintaining an advanced trading platform catering to a global clientele across APAC, EMEA, and North America. With a focus on delivering a secure and seamless trading experience, the team has expanded to meet the evolving needs of clients.
As a DevOps Database Administrator, your role involves collaborating closely with the application team and DevOps to design, implement, and maintain high-performance services essential to the [Company] ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, configure, install, and support databases.
- Participate in tasks such as database upgrades, security tools implementation, vulnerability checks, server upgrades, and migration.
- Manage platform operations including backup and restoration, troubleshooting, SQL performance tuning, usage monitoring, and capacity planning.
- Develop and maintain key database documentation, operational procedures, security guidelines, deployment architecture, component versions, and patch management decisions.
- Automate and optimize operations and processes following Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
- Communicate effectively, escalate issues, and ensure timely resolution of problems.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL and Aurora database administration.
- Proficiency in ClickHouse and Scylla database administration.
- Expertise in database architecture design, installation, migration, and upgrades.
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes configuration.
- Knowledge of Linux and Network Concepts.
- Familiarity with GitOps using ArgoCD is advantageous.
