Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Finance leader to bolster the expansion of our intricate global financial framework. The Director of Finance will directly report to the CEO and collaborate closely with the company's founders. As a key contributor, you will oversee all finance functions, execute performance metrics set by the founders, and support the growth of Toku's EOR, payroll, and token grant operations.
This role demands hands-on involvement, requiring active participation in the day-to-day financial activities with the existing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing international payrolls, adept at navigating diverse tax regulations, compliance standards, and reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions. Success in this position will involve working in fast-paced scenarios to ensure precise and punctual payroll processing while addressing any related issues efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise end-to-end payroll operations for employees across 10+ countries, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness.
- Handle payroll submissions, encompassing wage calculations, deductions, bonuses, and corrections.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure adherence to country-specific payroll regulations, labor laws, and tax guidelines.
- Assist in implementing the token grant administration product alongside payroll systems.
- Engage with tax advisors and legal teams to navigate intricate tax scenarios, including expatriate payroll and multi-country taxation.
- Act as an expert resource on payroll matters for internal teams and external clients.
- Produce comprehensive financial reports, conduct FP&A, and analyze payroll trends and variances.
- Provide insights on payroll performance and recommend enhancements for improved efficiency.
- Merge daily payroll processing with strategic projects focused on operational improvements.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of payroll experience, including 5 years managing multi-country payroll, preferably in an EOR environment.
- Prior startup involvement is essential.
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a keen eye for growth opportunities.
- Strong work ethic with a disposition for undertaking projects independently.
