Exchange Operations Specialist (US)

This operations role is pivotal in our predictive markets business, where you will oversee the entire lifecycle of predictive market contracts, from inception to settlement. Your responsibilities will include monitoring live events, researching outcomes, and resolving disputes in a timely manner. While technical expertise is not mandatory, quick thinking, agility, and a strong commitment to accuracy are essential.

This role is at the crossroads of sports, markets, and operations, offering you immediate ownership and impact.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of predictive market contracts, covering event identification, market creation, live monitoring, settlement, and dispute resolution.
• Stay abreast of real-time developments in sports, politics, and macroeconomics to ensure market accuracy and adjust specifications promptly when needed.
• Verify outcomes using reliable sources and draft clear settlement language taking into account various scenarios.
• Investigate and resolve settlement disputes efficiently while maintaining compliance with CFTC standards.
• Identify operational gaps and collaborate with the team to enhance processes.

Requirements

• Passion for sports and markets with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and respond swiftly to dynamic situations.
• Strong research skills to identify authoritative sources accurately.
• Proficient in clear and concise written communication.
• Willingness to seek help and admit areas of uncertainty.
• Comfortable with tools and spreadsheets; prior experience in basic scripting or data lookup is advantageous.

Schedule

The role demands flexibility, with rotational shifts covering evenings, weekends, and holidays, compensated with weekday off-days. This is a remote position.

Nice to Have

• 1–3 years of experience in sports betting operations, prediction markets, or related fields.
• Familiarity with exchange-traded products like binary options and categorical markets.
• Experience with sports data platforms or political forecasting tools.
• Knowledge of CFTC regulations or exchange compliance.

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $110,000 per year.
