Description
We are in need of an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the Middle East region. The successful candidate will report to the EVP, Finance and should possess a solid background in regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and engaging with stakeholders.
The primary responsibilities for this role include managing relationships with regulators, auditors, and other external parties. It involves ensuring the accurate and timely submission of reports while maintaining compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage operating budgets, local accounting procedures, and cash flow management, including treasury controls.
- Create and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that supports business growth goals and complies with regulatory requirements.
- Enhance the stress testing methodology to align with the Company's needs and external regulatory standards.
- Foster professional relationships with regulators, auditors, local banking partners, and other external stakeholders.
- Produce periodic financial forecasts and reports for senior management and board of directors.
- Provide financial and treasury assistance for new business initiatives.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Act as the designated Finance Officer for specific regulatory licenses in the Middle East to maintain compliance.
- Support various ad hoc projects and duties assigned.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services sector within regulated environments.
- Possession of chartered accountancy certifications (CPA, ACA, ACCA, etc.).
- Preferred experience as a named Finance Officer for regulatory licenses in the Middle East.
- Strong proficiency in cash flow and liquidity management, tailored to the UAE and/or Middle East region.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Proficiency in Arabic language is advantageous.
- Experience with international/multinational companies is beneficial.
- Sound understanding of IFRS principles.
- Knowledge of crypto-related topics is a plus.
- Familiarity with the NetSuite (Oracle) system is advantageous.
- Strong project management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to be hands-on in ensuring tasks are completed.
- Enthusiasm for startups and digital asset growth.
