Finance Manager, Technical Accounting
The Finance and Accounting (F&A) team encompasses various functions, including Financial Control & Business Performance Management, Procurement, Digital Transformation, Tax, Treasury, and Operations. Together, the team streamlines global finance initiatives, maintaining a keen eye for detail while managing diverse project scopes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on crucial accounting matters, market trends, and regulatory updates, and perform analyses on financial statements to evaluate the impact of new accounting standards or regulations.
- Offer guidance on business processes and internal controls concerning accounting and regulatory adjustments.
- Provide technical support to the finance team on complex accounting issues.
- Update and uphold the group’s accounting policies to adhere to the latest accounting standards.
- Act as a primary contact point for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication on accounting subjects.
- Undertake additional tasks as necessary to support evolving business requirements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business is a prerequisite; advanced degrees or CPA certification are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with prior audit experience being beneficial.
- Profound understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling; experience in financial instrument valuation is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, project management, presentation, and communication skills.
- Exceptional detail-oriented nature with the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
