Description
The Finance & Accounting (F&A) team encompasses various functions including Financial Control, Business Performance Management, Procurement, Digital Transformation, Tax, Treasury, and Operations. As a team, they collaborate to enhance global financial initiatives, thrive on attention to detail, and effectively manage multiple dynamic project scopes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the finance and accounting processes for the Bulgaria entity comprehensively.
- Supervise and handle the reconciliation of all customer transactions, identifying and resolving issues as needed.
- Produce and present regular forecasts and financial reports to headquarters.
- Conduct analyses on profits, costs, funding requirements, and cost-saving strategies.
- Develop and maintain operating budgets, accounting mechanisms, and treasury controls.
- Oversee relationships with external auditors and assist in financial audits.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes for enhanced efficiency.
- Optimally manage cash flow, working capital, and debt for financial performance optimization.
- Prepare and submit financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory reports.
- Lead CESOP reporting and manage banking and treasury relations.
- Implement operational processes aligning with the company's goals and values.
- Collaborate with international counterparts at affiliated entities.
- Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, and support for high-performance team delivery and standards.
- Evaluate team performance, offer feedback, and drive career development for team members.
Requirements
- Possess 10+ years of experience in finance leadership roles like Head of Finance or Financial Controller, ideally in financial services or fintech.
- Hold a degree in Finance or Accounting, along with relevant certifications like CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIPA, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing procedures and controls in a dynamic environment.
- Leadership experience in a growing company is advantageous.
- Expertise in forecasting models, cash flow management, budgeting, and financial communication.
- Experience in regulatory reporting and handling financial audits in regulated institutions.
- Experience in fintech or regulated institutions is beneficial.
- In-depth knowledge of the fintech industry, with exposure to blockchain and crypto asset operations.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English and Bulgarian.
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments, meet deadlines, and navigate ambiguity.
- Demonstrate integrity, initiative, perseverance, and leadership capabilities.
