This is a pivotal role offering significant independence, focused on leading the influencer channel and strategy for the sports predictions product. The selected individual will function as an enterprising self-starter with the task of conceptualizing, executing, and expanding the program specifically within the US regulated derivatives and predictions sector.
The role grants leeway to employ various commercial models to secure high-profile influencer talent. The ideal candidate should be a strategic expert well-versed in the US influencer environment, capable of managing both major celebrity figures and niche emerging sports analysts across social media platforms and podcasts.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration on Full-Funnel Strategy: Engage with stakeholders to craft the influencer roadmap and strategy for the sports prediction product. Subsequently, execute the plan to strike a balance between top-of-funnel visibility and bottom-funnel customer acquisition.
- Managing Multi-platform Content: Source and oversee a diverse array of talent across major social media channels (X, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch), as well as Podcasts and unconventional influencer platforms.
- Skillful Commercial Negotiations: Execute various deal structures (CPA, Rev-Share, Flat fee, and Gifting), ensuring all partnerships are efficient against a target CPM.
Creative and Technical Implementation:
- Collaborate on Campaigns: Co-work with the Sports Prediction Growth Hacker to seamlessly integrate influencers into campaigns, tailored incentives, and event-specific promotions.
- Whitelisting & Amplification: Oversee influencer whitelisting and paid media boosts to enhance content reach, utilizing platforms like Meta ads manager for optimal performance.
- Integration with the Community: Partner with the internal community management team to ensure influencers are seamlessly integrated into the community strategy for the product.
Compliance Oversight and Evaluation:
- Addressing Regulatory Challenges: Serve as the central point of contact for Legal and Compliance departments to resolve uncertainties and implement scalable, compliant solutions.
- Diligent Vetting: Manage the influencer vetting process to ensure all talent aligns with the legal department’s requirements and advertising standards.
- Upholding Operational Excellence: Maintain clear documentation of influencer compliance workflows, providing feedback to stakeholders.
- Implementing Live Content Guidelines: Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to develop and enforce guidelines for live-streamed and unscripted content, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Reporting:
- Reporting to Stakeholders: Utilize Tableau and Impact.com reporting tools to gauge and communicate growth and channel value to senior leadership.
- Representation at Events: Participate in key industry events and conferences in the US to network with partners and represent the product.
- Balancing Strategies: Juggle direct influencer outreach with the management of specialized external agencies to effectively expand the influencer program and achieve varied goals.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Influencer Management experience, demonstrating a successful track record in the US Sports Betting (OSB), financial services, or regulated gaming industries.
- In-depth knowledge of the US influencer landscape, encompassing experience in managing talent of varying types and sizes.
- Track record of building influencer programs from scratch or launching new acquisition channels in highly regulated markets.
- Proficiency in utilizing influencer management tools like Impact.com creator for attribution and tracking.
- Strong negotiation skills for swiftly securing influencer agreements and managing agency/talent manager relationships.
- Ability to excel under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and navigate ambiguous environments smoothly.
- Comfort in dynamic environments where product features and budgets may undergo rapid changes.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Podcast advertising and host-read sponsorships.
- Experience working with live stream influencers (YouTube, TikTok, Twitch) and addressing real-time compliance risks.
