About the Role
Toku is seeking a skilled payroller to join our Payroll team and support both regular payroll activities (BAU) and strategic projects. The ideal candidate will be proficient in establishing processes, entities, and best practices independently while managing daily operations efficiently. They will primarily oversee German and Swiss payrolls and serve as the main contact for additional responsibilities when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and organize payroll data for submission
- Prepare data for payroll processing across multiple countries
- Coordinate with payroll providers, addressing and resolving queries promptly
- Validate and reconcile payroll data to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payments
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external payroll inquiries
- Maintain up-to-date records, processes, and procedures
- Implement new country payrolls compliantly and effectively
- Ensure smooth transition of payroll providers
- Resolve issues from beginning to end with proactive troubleshooting
- Provide backup support as necessary
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in Swiss and German payroll
- Proficiency in payroll processes and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while being initiative-driven
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a dynamic environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in German and English
- Proactive problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional language proficiency is a plus
- Knowledge of payrolls beyond Switzerland is advantageous
- Experience with crypto compensation is beneficial
