Investigations Specialist

Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive evaluation of customer account data, on-chain and off-chain transactions to ascertain activity nature and entity relationships.
- Conducting blockchain tracing across multiple blockchains and asset varieties, including bridges, swaps, and smart contract interactions.
- Detailed investigative research to acquire crucial data for furthering investigations or due diligence procedures.
- Identification of anomalies or malicious trends to map out networks of malicious entities.
- Documentation of research processes, data sources, and derived conclusions.
- Reviewing legal documentation (such as subpoenas, court orders) to aid investigations.
- Collaboration with internal teams and external law enforcement bodies for information sharing and coordination.
- Providing training and knowledge-sharing on crypto threat patterns and investigative methodologies.
- Offering feedback to relevant departments to boost the company's security framework based on analyses.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in or supporting US federal law enforcement directly.
- 3+ years of involvement in cybercrime, financial, or cryptocurrency-centric investigations.
- Demonstrated track record in cryptocurrency-related cases or technical support.
- Extensive proficiency in on-chain tracing and blockchain analytics tools.
- In-depth knowledge of cryptocurrencies, blockchain variances, and networks.
- Familiarity with DeFi protocols, including bridges, swaps, mixers, and smart contract interactions.
- Strong written communication skills to articulate findings clearly.
- Capacity to analyze extensive datasets effectively.
- Proficient problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong network within US national/regional law enforcement agencies or international equivalents.
- Prior experience coaching law enforcement on cryptocurrency investigations.
- Familiarity with legal processes like subpoenas, court orders, and seizure warrants.
Good to have:
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese languages.
- Understanding of open-source investigations or due diligence operations.
- Experience using AI tools for investigative purposes.
