Operations Analyst

The Operations team at Flow Traders plays a crucial role in supporting trade life cycles, creating reconciliations, generating reports, managing capital, and monitoring trading limits. Team members handle risk identification, assessment, response, and monitoring. They are committed to streamlining workflows, automating processes, enhancing data monitoring, and communicating key department performance indicators. The team collaborates closely with various departments at the firm, both locally and globally, to support ongoing business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct position/PNL/cost reconciliation
- Perform trade matching, booking, and settlement reconciliation
- Oversee counterparty onboarding and operational relationships
- Develop new operational and risk management tools
- Maintain and improve current infrastructure
- Collaborate with Trading, Business Development, IT, and Compliance to troubleshoot and innovate solutions
- Participate in projects to advance interdepartmental and global business objectives
Qualifications:
- 0 to 3 years of experience in Financial Operations
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Math, Computer Science, or related field
- Proficient/Advanced in Excel and VBA
- Familiarity with SQL preferred
- Experience with Python, C#, or other coding applications is a plus
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and adhere to company policies
- Demonstrated capability in developing scalable process improvements
- Strong analytical skills for quick decision-making under pressure
- Interest in trading and financial markets
- Flexible, proactive, and excellent communication skills
- Financial certifications like SIE, Series 7, or 99 would be beneficial

The total compensation for this role, as per NYC Salary Transparency Law, includes a base salary of $80,000 - $90,000 plus variable remuneration.
