Risk Controller

We are seeking a Risk Controller with a financial services background to join our growing team at BitGo Europe.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing and enhancing the Risk Management system in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements like MaRisk, KWG, and MiCAR, while setting up relevant processes and documentation.
- Assisting the Management Board in enhancing the internal control system, risk management, and control processes.
- Conducting risk assessments, compiling the overall risk profile, and assessing risk coverage (Risk Bearing Capacity).
- Collaborating closely with the Management Board and pertinent departments on regulatory matters and evolving the risk strategy.
- Reporting to the Management Board, maintaining, and monitoring risk-related metrics.
- Overseeking outsourcing activities, conducting associated risk analyses, and ensuring compliance with outsourcing agreement requirements.
- Updating and managing risk guidelines and procedural documentation.
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and additional certification or advanced degree is required.
- 3+ years of pertinent experience in the financial sector.
- Strong written communication skills to effectively convey information across different teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
- Proficient problem-solving, investigative, and analytical abilities.
- Proactive and outcome-focused with the capacity to instigate change and deliver positive outcomes.
- Knowledge of risk management and control frameworks in financial institutions.
- Strong dedication to producing high-quality work and adhering to organizational ethics and compliance standards.
