The Risk Operations team at Binance is in the process of transitioning to an AI-driven approach, shifting from manual review processes to an autonomous decision-making pipeline powered by the ROCA (Risk Operations AI Agent). This role serves as a crucial intermediary in this transition, involving the review of cases where ROCA's confidence level falls below the auto-decision threshold. It requires providing structured feedback to enhance model performance and expanding automation capabilities gradually. This position does not entail typical fraud analyst responsibilities.
In an analogy to historical shifts like the transition from manual labor to the steam engine era, this role entails being the operator of AI systems. You are responsible for guiding the AI, validating its decisions, rectifying deficiencies, and ensuring improved outcomes. You complement the machine's handling of tasks with your expertise.
Responsibilities:
Core Review Duties
- Evaluate cases flagged by ROCA where confidence levels are below auto-decision thresholds using AI-assisted signals within a unified review interface
- Make accurate decisions daily on a range of case types, including KYC Audit, ATO investigation, 2FA reset, POA Review, and withdrawal anomaly cases
- Escalate high-priority cases and high-risk patterns with clear justifications to Senior Agents/Team Leads
- Adhere to SLAs with a manual resolution time of fewer than 4 hours while preserving decision accuracy above 98%
AI Feedback & Pipeline Contribution
- Categorize each reviewed case as TP/TN/FP/FN with detailed annotations to inform continuous learning for ROCA
- Recognize recurring FP/FN patterns and channel them towards corrective actions
- Actively participate in enhancing Precision and Recall targets by identifying signal failures for Data and Model teams
- Engage in regular AI model calibration sessions by reviewing misclassification batches and validating decisions with data
SOP & Knowledge Management
- Update SOP pages for assigned case types with a target coverage rate exceeding 80%
- Highlight SOP gaps by monitoring ROCA's reasoning chain and propose SOP additions for review
- Assist in training BPO agents on AI-supported workflows and monitor quality against benchmarks
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in fraud review, risk operations, or KYC/KYB case management
- Hands-on experience in ATO detection and investigation
- Proficiency in AI-augmented workflows, interpreting model outputs, and leveraging AI-generated signals
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to provide concise root-cause annotations
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin for communication with international partners
- Adaptive mindset towards AI tools for making informed decisions and maximizing efficiency
Nice to have:
- Experience in crypto/Web3/VASP risk environments and familiarity with blockchain transaction patterns
- Understanding of ML model evaluation concepts and terminology
- Previous exposure to prompt engineering or LLM evaluation workflows
- AML/fraud certification like CAMS or CFE
- Prior involvement in SOP authoring, QA calibration, or BPO oversight for risk operations
