About the Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, your main responsibility will involve overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of our infrastructure dedicated to cutting-edge blockchain applications. Your expertise in Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and PromQL will be utilized to automate deployments, optimize performance, and shape the overall DevOps strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes deployments to ensure scalability, security, and efficiency for applications and services.
- Advocate for and utilize PromQL to craft detailed queries that monitor the performance and health of blockchain applications and underlying infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the Kubernetes environment effectively.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to establish and enforce best practices in DevOps for secure and efficient deployments.
- Continuously improve and automate DevOps workflows to enhance operational processes.
- Keep abreast of new developments in Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, monitoring technologies, and the dynamic blockchain landscape.
- Proactively implement top-tier security practices to safeguard our infrastructure effectively.
- Mentor engineers and share extensive knowledge of blockchain technology and DevOps principles.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated success in designing and managing large-scale Kubernetes deployments for production environments.
- Proficiency in CI/CD principles and a variety of related tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Mastery of PromQL for monitoring and analyzing complex data, particularly in blockchain systems.
- Strong familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Cloudflare.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.) and experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and their security implications is essential.
- Previous experience with blockchain technologies is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership qualities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative setting and work productively within a skilled team.
This position is remote-friendly, and the current team is primarily based in the US on EST, so candidates able to work in overlapping time zones are preferred.
