The Financial and Accounting (F&A) team at our organization handles a diverse range of functions, including Financial Control, Business Performance Management, Procurement, Digital Transformation, Tax, Treasury, and Operations. This team meticulously manages global finance initiatives, engaging in multitasking across various exciting project scopes.

We are seeking a talented individual, ideally based in Hong Kong or Singapore, to join us as a Global Tax Accounting Senior Manager. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the complex tax environment at Crypto.com, particularly focusing on tax accounting under IFRS and the OECD Pillar 2 – Global Anti-Base Erosion (GloBE) Income Rules. This position offers a remarkable opportunity to oversee the global tax accounting matters for a rapidly growing business in a dynamic industry.

Reporting to the SVP – Head of Tax, the selected candidate will be tasked with leading the preparation, review, and management of global tax accounting processes under both IFRS and GloBE Income Rules. Responsibilities include reviewing tax compliance work, tracking the global effective tax rate, and accurately forecasting current and deferred taxes.

As a key member of the Crypto.com tax team, you will collaborate with global tax teams, external advisors, and various teams across the finance and operations departments. Additionally, you will have the support of a dedicated tax team in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preparation, review, and/or preparation of worldwide quarterly and annual tax financial reporting under IFRS, including calculating current and deferred tax positions and tax accounting under GloBE Income Tax Rules.
  • Manage and administer Crypto.com's tax provisioning software tool.
  • Lead the meticulous preparation of tax returns for all APAC entities of Crypto.com in a timely manner.
  • Assist in managing enquiries or tax audits with APAC tax authorities and handle indirect tax matters (GST).
  • Ensure up-to-date policies, procedures, and internal controls to drive process efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • Holds a CPA qualification or equivalent.
  • Ideally, possesses 7+ years of experience in APAC tax reporting and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS principles, GloBE Income Rules, and expertise in tax provision calculations.
  • Proficient in tax provisioning software and proficient software skills with tools like OneSource, Longview, OneStream, Vena Solutions, etc.
  • Knowledge of crypto-related tax subjects is advantageous.
  • Strong project management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to multitask in a high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrates passion for start-ups, digital asset growth, and a strong willingness to take initiative.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
