Senior Manager/ Manager, Business Development (Institutional/ VIP Sales) - APAC & EMEA
The institutional sales team welcomes individuals who desire to develop their clientele within the institutional/high net worth segment. As a part of this dynamic role, you can expect to guide clients through their introduction to crypto instruments and create tailored crypto products that push the boundaries of the market. If you are part of our operations team, your responsibilities will involve collaborating with key stakeholders such as sales traders, account managers, and sales managers to support the expansion of our infrastructure.
About the Role
As a Manager/Senior Manager of Institutional/VIP Sales, you will play a crucial role in driving institutional and VIP growth across the APAC and EMEA regions for the organization. The market landscape is swiftly evolving, particularly through the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) and regulated derivatives, setting the stage for you to identify and capitalize on diverse opportunities within a broad client base. This position necessitates an individual with a proactive mindset and exceptional skills in navigating the full sales cycle, encompassing established crypto products and emerging institutional sectors.
You will play a vital role in connecting institutional clients with Crypto.com's range of digital asset services, including the Exchange, OTC desk, Custody, CFD/retail brokerage flows, and tokenized RWA offerings. Leveraging your industry expertise, you will engage high-value partners and work closely with senior leadership to implement growth strategies while maintaining autonomy over your sales targets and clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Pipeline Execution: Actively seek out, pitch, and onboard institutional prospects, with a focus on hedge funds, family offices, proprietary trading firms, and asset managers in APAC and EMEA interested in digital assets and RWA products.
- RWA Sales: Promote the adoption of Crypto.com's tokenized RWA offerings among institutional clients, educating them on product details and use cases specific to asset-backed instruments.
- Solution Selling: Skillfully present the full Crypto.com ecosystem to meet the specific demands of institutional traders, retail brokers, and portfolio managers.
- Onboarding Management: Manage the complete onboarding process, collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Operations to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients across all core product lines and RWA verticals.
- Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for your clientele, focusing on retention, and identifying opportunities to expand through upselling or cross-selling RWA instruments and new exchange products.
- Market Insights: Provide valuable feedback to Product and Strategy teams on competitor platforms, developments in the RWA market, regulatory trends in APAC and EMEA, and other pertinent insights.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and forecasts in the CRM system, giving regular updates on key performance indicators like Trading Volume, AUM, and RWA transaction flow.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 4-12 years in Institutional Sales, Business Development, or Relationship Management within FinTech, Traditional Finance, or a regulated derivatives/exchange environment.
- Domain Knowledge: At least 2 years of dedicated experience in the digital asset sector, with a strong grasp of spot/derivatives trading and custodial workflows, and familiarity with RWA products.
- CFD & Retail Broker Understanding: Proficiency in CFD products and the retail brokerage ecosystem, including broker-LP relationships and retail flow interactions with institutional liquidity.
- RWA Familiarity: Working knowledge of tokenized real-world assets, preferably with sales or business development experience in this vertical.
- Network: Established network of institutional contacts in APAC and/or EMEA, with ties to crypto-native funds, HFT firms, asset managers, family offices, and retail/CFD brokers.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to discuss technical concepts like API connectivity, FIX protocol, and on-chain settlement mechanics with client technical teams.
- Execution Focus: Proven track record of meeting or surpassing individual sales quotas and volume targets.
- Communication: Strong presentation skills for engaging with various stakeholders on topics ranging from crypto derivatives to CFDs and RWA tokenization.
- Agility: Ability to adapt quickly to evolving market conditions, product offerings, and regulatory environments in APAC and EMEA.
