Binance, a global blockchain ecosystem promoting the largest cryptocurrency exchange worldwide, seeks a Senior Software Engineer adept at developing and enhancing internal monitoring and alerting systems for high-load, real-time production operations. This role demands expertise in DevOps/SRE practices and monitoring critical-performance applications.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and enhancing internal monitoring and alerting tools, testing and validating solutions in live production settings, as well as collaborating with Development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
This is a full-time remote position, with a preference for candidates situated in European time zones.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and optimize robust monitoring and alerting tools for mission-critical systems
- Automate production testing for scalability and reliability assurance
- Identifying and resolving performance and software issues proactively
- Coordinate technical issue tracking and resolution across teams
- Propose and implement architectural improvements and process enhancements
- Evaluate, research, and recommend new technologies and vendor solutions
- Apply top-tier security practices and solutions to safeguard critical systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Node.js/Javascript developer, preferably with a focus on supporting large-scale production systems
- Proficient in REST API design and WebSockets
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
- Strong understanding of distributed systems at scale
- Ability to work effectively in a Linux environment
- Excellent English communication skills for conveying complex concepts clearly
Optional
- Exposure to tools including Docker, Nginx, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
- Experience with time-series databases
- Understanding of low-level programming languages like C, C++, Rust
- Previous contributions to open-source projects
