Duties:

Currently seeking a skilled and proficient smart contract engineer to join the USDC Smart Contract team at Circle. In the role of a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the technical dimension of smart contract development for USDC on various blockchain platforms, such as Ethereum, Solana, and Cosmos.

Responsibilities Include:

• Designing, coding, testing, and deploying smart contracts for secure and efficient transactions.
• Improving existing smart contracts to enhance developer speed, security, and overall effectiveness.
• Implementing security best practices and optimizing performance to ensure robustness.
• Carrying out risk assessments related to smart contract development on diverse blockchain platforms to enhance security and resilience.

Desired Profile:

Senior Software Engineer (III)

• Minimum 4 years of software development experience, encompassing internships.
• Demonstrated expertise in smart contract development on blockchain platforms for at least 2 years.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Rust, Go, relevant for non-EVM smart contracts.
• Competency in a major non-EVM blockchain ecosystem, such as Cosmos or Solana.
• Proven track record in crafting, testing, and deploying secure and efficient smart contracts.
• Strong focus on security best practices in smart contract development.
• Ability to keep abreast of blockchain development trends and adopt innovative approaches.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical and proactive approach to challenges.

Staff Software Engineer (IV)

All requirements of a Senior Software Engineer, with added:

• At least 7 years of software development experience, including internships.
• Over 4 years of experience in smart contract development on blockchain platforms.
• Expertise in non-EVM programming languages and tech stacks.
• Demonstrated understanding of blockchain technology and various blockchain & web3 protocols.
• Leadership skills to guide technical teams and mentor junior engineers effectively.
