Duties:
Currently seeking a skilled and proficient smart contract engineer to join the USDC Smart Contract team at Circle. In the role of a Senior/Staff Software Engineer, you will lead the technical dimension of smart contract development for USDC on various blockchain platforms, such as Ethereum, Solana, and Cosmos.
Responsibilities Include:
- Designing, coding, testing, and deploying smart contracts for secure and efficient transactions.
- Improving existing smart contracts to enhance developer speed, security, and overall effectiveness.
- Implementing security best practices and optimizing performance to ensure robustness.
- Carrying out risk assessments related to smart contract development on diverse blockchain platforms to enhance security and resilience.
Desired Profile:
Senior Software Engineer (III)
- Minimum 4 years of software development experience, encompassing internships.
- Demonstrated expertise in smart contract development on blockchain platforms for at least 2 years.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Rust, Go, relevant for non-EVM smart contracts.
- Competency in a major non-EVM blockchain ecosystem, such as Cosmos or Solana.
- Proven track record in crafting, testing, and deploying secure and efficient smart contracts.
- Strong focus on security best practices in smart contract development.
- Ability to keep abreast of blockchain development trends and adopt innovative approaches.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical and proactive approach to challenges.
Staff Software Engineer (IV)
All requirements of a Senior Software Engineer, with added:
- At least 7 years of software development experience, including internships.
- Over 4 years of experience in smart contract development on blockchain platforms.
- Expertise in non-EVM programming languages and tech stacks.
- Demonstrated understanding of blockchain technology and various blockchain & web3 protocols.
- Leadership skills to guide technical teams and mentor junior engineers effectively.
