Senior Tax Associate, Transfer Pricing (Relocation to Hong Kong)

The Transfer Pricing Senior Associate / Manager role involves assisting in the company's transfer pricing policies and documentation, overseeing intercompany transactions, Local File/Master File preparations, and Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR). This position requires strong analytical abilities, experience in financial services or tech-driven environments, and collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams to manage intricate intercompany structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and reconcile intercompany journal entries for transfer pricing to ensure compliance with global tax accounting standards.
- Aid in creating and maintaining transfer pricing documentation such as Local File, Master File, and CbCR in accordance with OECD and local regulations.
- Support the development and oversight of the Group transfer pricing model, implementing TP policies and legal agreements for intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate with finance teams and advisors for timely submission of CbCR, BEPS Pillar 2, and other transfer pricing filings.
- Conduct financial analyses and benchmarking to reinforce transfer pricing positions, engaging with external advisors for project delivery.
- Collaborate with accounting, legal, treasury, and various business units to align transfer pricing tasks with other business functions.
- Assist in tax and financial audits by preparing responses and necessary documentation.
- Streamline processes and utilize tax, accounting, and AI technology for efficient data collection and reporting.
- Stay informed about global tax and transfer pricing regulations, OECD guidelines, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in transfer pricing or tax, with fintech/tech background advantageous.
- Thorough understanding of OECD guidelines, Local File/Master File, BEPS Pillar 2, and CbCR.
- Ability to adapt and take a hands-on approach to operational transfer pricing.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and tools like Bloomberg or RoyaltyRange.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP and tax software is beneficial.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with resourcefulness to drive workstreams.
