About the Role

Join our Social Media & Community Engagement team to amplify brand awareness globally and boost audience engagement across various social media platforms. You will collaborate with multiple teams within CoinDesk Media & Events to create, execute, and deliver social campaigns utilizing our digital media content and sourcing original material from industry experts or user-generated content. Your role will involve tailoring digital media content into strategic social plans to engage target audiences on key social and crypto-specific platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, Discord, Telegram, Reddit, and Instagram.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, track, and report on social media campaigns with the aim of expanding audience reach and engagement across all social platforms.
  • Devising and executing comprehensive social media strategies in line with business objectives. Setting specific objectives and success metrics for each social project, considering key measurement criteria.
  • Crafting social campaigns to drive new consumers to our digital platform and promote awareness and participation in CoinDesk events.
  • Generating, editing, publishing, and sharing content with a consistent brand voice across various social channels.
  • Creating and managing social media advertising campaigns, optimizing performance based on core metrics like click-through rates and conversions.
  • Analyzing social media data and engagement metrics to evaluate campaign performance and impact.
  • Monitoring competitor social media activities and staying current with industry trends.
  • Engaging with the online community promptly and professionally through response to comments and messages.
  • Demonstrating thought leadership in building social media programs that attract and retain audiences.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in social media platforms to adjust strategies accordingly.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in social media and community management within a fast-paced industry, with exposure to digital media platforms. Prior professional exposure to Crypto, Web3, Blockchain, or FinTech is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of audience growth, content strategy, and platform alignment using data-driven approaches.
  • Strong expertise in social media and digital journalism, demonstrating experience in crafting content strategies for diverse social platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and user behaviors globally, including YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, Reddit, and Discord.
  • Proven experience in running effective advertiser campaigns on social networks and adeptness in social media publishing and analytics.
  • Excellent collaboration and project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or related work experience.

CoinDesk Inc and CoinDesk Indices Inc. provide competitive compensation and benefits, with an anticipated base salary of $100,000 - $125,000 plus discretionary annual bonuses and benefits based on location and experience.
