Software Engineer, Crypto:
Bitcoin, the most stable form of money to ever exist, is gaining worldwide adoption, and Shakepay is the leading choice for many Canadians. We are seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of money in an internet-native world.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the product vision for crypto at Shakepay
- Lead the development of crypto features
- Write high-quality, well-tested code for production
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and team discussions
- Collaborate in setting the company's tech vision
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
- 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Engineer
- Comfortable working across the tech stack
- Knowledge of Bitcoin and Ethereum internals
- Strong proficiency in video-call hangouts
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Node.js, React-Native, Vue, Postgres, and Docker
- Familiarity with building financial apps
- Ability to handle an AI takeover with diplomacy
