About the Role

Figure is seeking a detail-oriented and impact-driven Accountant to contribute to their team. As an integral team member, you will handle monthly accounting tasks and help develop processes for rapid scaling. Responsibilities include:

  • Recording journal entries and reconciling accounts for specific business domains, ensuring data accuracy and proposing resolutions for discrepancies.
  • Supporting month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Leading daily financial operations, such as AR, AP, cash management, lending, and general accounting tasks.
  • Preparing financial statements, conducting analysis, validating integrity, and managing reconciliation processes.
  • Developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures to comply with GAAP and enhance internal controls.
  • Assisting in external audit management, including documentation preparation and ongoing support.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and solve problems.
  • Driving process enhancements and designing automation solutions to streamline financial data for better decision-making.
  • Handling ad hoc projects in line with company expansion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a tech startup or public accounting firm.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, independent working style with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adeptness in prioritizing tasks within a startup setting.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience with SAGE, Paycom, bill.com, and Expensify is advantageous.

Salary range for CO, NY, CA, and WA residents is $58,800 - $71,000/year with a 25% Bonus and Equity. Compensation may vary based on experience and location.
