About the Role:
Figure is seeking an enthusiastic Accountant with strong attention to detail and a drive to make a difference. In this role, you will handle monthly accounting tasks and contribute to process development as the company expands rapidly. Responsibilities:
- Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and address discrepancies where necessary.
- Support month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Oversee daily financial operations, including AR, AP, cash management, lending, and general accounting duties.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring data integrity.
- Develop and implement accounting policies ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and enhancing internal controls.
- Assist with external audits by preparing documentation and providing ongoing support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and problem-solving.
- Drive process enhancements and design automation solutions to streamline financial data for decision-making.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Over 1 year of relevant accounting experience, with a background in tech startups and/or public accounting preferred.
- Proficiency in US GAAP
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Adaptability and prioritization skills suited to a startup environment
