About the Role:

Responsibilities:

  • Record journal entries, reconcile accounts, and address discrepancies where necessary.
  • Support month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee daily financial operations, including AR, AP, cash management, lending, and general accounting duties.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring data integrity.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and enhancing internal controls.
  • Assist with external audits by preparing documentation and providing ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and problem-solving.
  • Drive process enhancements and design automation solutions to streamline financial data for decision-making.
  • Manage ad hoc projects as the company scales.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Over 1 year of relevant accounting experience, with a background in tech startups and/or public accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Adaptability and prioritization skills suited to a startup environment
  • Strong initiative in process improvement and operational streamlining
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with SAGE, Paycom, bill.com, and Expensify is a plus

Salary for residents of CO, NY, CA, and WA ranges from $58,800 to $71,000 per year with a 25% Bonus and Equity. Actual compensation may vary based on experience and location.
