A bit about the role:

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll collaborate within a dynamic and dedicated team focused on enhancing Immutable Passport – the instantaneous wallet onboarding solution for web3 games.

The prevailing challenges faced by web3 game studios are security and player onboarding, mainly due to the necessity for a crypto wallet. Immutable Passport offers a non-custodial wallet and authentication solution simplifying user onboarding with passwordless sign-on and automated wallet creation. This platform empowers game studios to boost reach across mainstream audiences, ensure top-notch security, and attain global scalability. Gamers, in turn, gain access to a secure digital wallet, shielded from fraud, and seamless authentication across diverse web3 games and platforms. This role emphasizes product-driven goals more than technology-centric objectives, offering ample flexibility concerning tools, technology, and architecture.

The primary aim is to elevate Immutable Passport to the forefront as the leading gaming wallet globally. As Immutable propels businesses to new heights, we seek passionate software engineers intrigued by tackling challenging problems within the rapidly evolving digital landscape. Prior blockchain experience is not required, but a solid foundation in engineering, effective communication skills, and a thirst for knowledge in digital asset ownership's future are essential.

Desirable qualifications:

• 8+ years of profound engineering background in product development contexts
• Extensive front-end proficiency with TypeScript and React
• Aptitude for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable TypeScript code
• Capability to educate junior team members on best practices
• Firm commitment to delivering exceptional products to end-users
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with empathy for effective stakeholder engagement
• Strong preference for startup and scale-up exposure
• Inclination towards upskilling in the Web3 domain
• Interest or experience in shaping product direction for the team

• Prior experience in back-end engineering with AWS
