We are seeking a Trading Initiatives & Business Manager who is commercially curious and execution-focused to join our dynamic Trading team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who is eager to drive new trading strategies and explore financial instruments within various markets, including crypto, TradFi, and prediction markets.
As the Trading Initiatives & Business Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and spearheading the implementation of new trading ventures. This involves conducting initial research, evaluating feasibility, and seeing projects through to launch, all while utilizing AI tools to enhance competitor analysis, research workflows, and project monitoring. This position offers substantial exposure to traders, cross-divisional teams, and external partners worldwide.
Responsibilities:
New Trading Initiatives
- Evaluate potential trading opportunities and strategies across multiple asset classes and emerging markets, utilizing AI-supported research workflows to conduct market sizing, requirement analysis, pricing, and risk assessment.
- Utilize AI tools for competitor analysis to track competitor strategies, instrument launches, exchange activities, and market positioning.
- Supervise the listings of new prediction market contracts, tokens, and coins from a trading standpoint, collaborating with product, risk, operations, and tech teams.
- Manage an ongoing pipeline and prioritize a roadmap of new trading initiatives.
Project & Programme Management
- Take ownership of project management for assigned trading initiatives from start to finish, maintaining project plans, timelines, action logs, RAID logs, and status updates.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams to ensure milestones are achieved and promptly escalate any issues.
- Prepare and disseminate clear and concise project status updates.
- Prioritize and plan the broader pipeline of initiatives, proactively flagging capacity constraints and dependencies.
- Ensure all project documentation is well-structured, up to date, and easily accessible to relevant team members.
- Leverage AI to streamline project management workflows, such as automated status updates, drafting of documentation, summarizing meetings, and tracking tasks.
Business Management
- Oversee day-to-day business management across various trading desks, including preparing reporting packs, performance dashboards, and tracking KPIs.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk, and finance teams on new trading initiatives.
- Manage relationships with exchanges, brokers, data providers, and external partners, serving as a primary point of contact for daily inquiries and coordination.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a trading, strategy, project management, business management, or financial services role.
- Working knowledge of at least one of the following: TradFi markets, crypto markets, prediction/event markets.
- Demonstrable project and programme management skills, including familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC, as well as experience using Jira.
- Previous experience or a keen interest in AI tools (e.g., LLMs, AI research assistants, automation platforms) in a professional or personal capacity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear briefing notes, status updates, and stakeholder presentations.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently.
