Accounts Payable Manager

This opportunity marks the inaugural hire for the Accounts Payables department at Alchemy. In this role, you will drive enhancements to our procure-to-pay process, ensuring efficient and accurate workflows for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance and streamline the procure-to-pay (P2P) process, encompassing purchase requisition, payments, and reconciliations.
- Develop and uphold relevant policies, procedures, controls, and reporting structures; collaborate with IT to ensure system functionality.
- Oversee all P2P processes, including requisitioning, vendor payments, and account reconciliations, among others.
- Conduct regular closings, AP accruals, and prepare consolidated reports and supporting documentation.
- Cultivate supplier relationships to expedite issue resolution, implement payment strategies, and align vendors with company objectives.
- Implement industry best practices to harmonize ERP systems, processes, policies, and cross-functional alignment.
- Establish effective internal controls and devise metrics for enhancing operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of advancing experience in Accounts Payable within a fast-paced startup environment.
- Graduation with a degree related to Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with senior leadership and foster cross-functional relationships.
- Service-oriented approach with a focus on collaborative success and strong interpersonal skills.
- Profound understanding of accounting principles, management, and Accounts Payable techniques.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects in a rapid-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Experience in system implementations and automation initiatives.
- Certification in Accounts Payable/Accounts Payable Manager (APS/APM) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in presentation tools like PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and common procurement applications.
