Who You Are:

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or financial statement reporting, preferably within a multinational service context. While prior experience in crypto or traditional finance is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement.

Your Role:

Join our expanding team at Galaxy Digital to contribute significantly to enhancing the transparency and credibility of our financial reporting. As the business evolves rapidly, you must thrive in a fast-paced environment, delve into details, and be prepared to work diligently. Collaborating with experienced professionals, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements adhering to IFRS and US GAAP standards to ensure accuracy in public disclosures.

  • Report directly to the VP of Reporting
  • Collaborate with Accounting Policy, Financial Reporting, and Controllership teams
  • Prepare quarterly IFRS financial statements with internal experts' input
  • Assist in the earnings release process
  • Prepare financials for filings under US GAAP and Article 11 Pro Forma
  • Compile supporting documentation for filings under IFRS and US GAAP
  • Engage with external auditors, addressing audit queries and providing necessary materials
  • Create quarterly disclosure checklists for financial statement preparation
  • Participate in special projects, enhance processes and controls, and conduct ad hoc analyses

Qualifications:

  • CPA designation
  • 2-3 years of financial reporting or public accounting experience
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver accurate reports
  • Effective in teamwork and individual work settings
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail

Desired Skills:

  • Previous experience in SEC or public company financial reporting
  • Familiarity with Workiva-Wdesk, Oracle NetSuite, or HFR Big 4
  • Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting and reporting standards

Key Responsibilities

Supervising tax compliance activities and ensuring the implementation of group tax compliance policies across all jurisdictions

Reviewing and overseeing quarterly income tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for consolidated and key subsidiary entities in accordance with ASC740 and IFRS standards, including related footnote disclosures

Preparing tax management reports and conducting modeling of the Effective Tax Rate (ETR) and cash taxes

Managing processes related to tax audit reviews with external auditors

Requirements

Possession of a CPA designation or equivalent qualification

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Big 4 public accounting and/or multinational corporate tax departments within a public company setting

Demonstrated expertise in handling complex international tax issues

Previous involvement in the implementation of tax accounting or tax compliance technological solutions
