Description
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to oversee operations in the Middle East region. Reporting to the EVP, Finance, we seek a candidate with proficiency in regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
This position involves managing relationships with regulators, auditors, and external entities, ensuring the accurate and timely submission of reports, and upholding compliance with relevant financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain operating budgets, accounting systems, and cash flow oversight with effective treasury controls.
- Create and implement a robust financial strategy aligning with business growth objectives and regulatory standards while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
- Enhance stress testing methodologies to meet internal and external regulatory needs adequately.
- Cultivate and sustain professional relationships with regulators, auditors, local banking partners, and external stakeholders.
- Generate periodic financial forecasts and reports for the General Manager, Group CFO, and Board of Directors.
- Provide financial and treasury support for new business ventures.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and business teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Act as the designated Finance Officer for specific regulatory licenses in the Middle East, facilitating compliance with licensing requirements.
- Support additional ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services sector, particularly in regulated environments.
- Possession of chartered accountancy certifications (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACCA, etc.).
- Prior experience as a named Finance Officer for regulatory licenses in the Middle East region is highly desirable.
- Profound understanding of cash flow and liquidity management, tailored to UAE and/or Middle East region.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Arabic (spoken and written) is advantageous.
- Experience with international/multinational companies is a bonus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS principles.
- Familiarity with crypto-related topics is a plus.
- Exposure to NetSuite (Oracle) system is beneficial.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and adept at multitasking in a dynamic environment.
- Strong dedication to taking proactive approaches to complete tasks.
- Enthusiasm for startups and the expansion of digital assets.
