Finance Officer

As a Finance Officer at Swyftx, you will be tasked with executing effective financial procedures consistently while actively seeking opportunities for enhancement.
Please note that this position is located in Brisbane and follows a hybrid work model. You will be required to work in our Milton office two days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely or in the office for the remaining three days as per your preference.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Verifying, processing, and categorizing local and international vendor invoices in Netsuite promptly and accurately
- Addressing any discrepancies or issues before payment deadlines
- Conducting weekly payment procedures
- Updating and managing the vendor database in a timely manner
- Handling the reconciliation of company cards and ensuring proper allocation to the general ledger
- Managing staff expense claims on Netsuite
- Regular reconciliation of bank accounts to maintain accuracy and completeness
- Assisting with month-end activities such as expense accruals, prepayments, general ledger reconciliation, and statement reconciliation
- Issuing invoices for services provided and ensuring timely payments are received
- Providing assistance during internal and external audits
- Identifying areas for improvement in current financial processes to enhance efficiency
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Demonstrable experience in a finance role within a fast-paced commercial setting
- Experience using Netsuite is advantageous but not necessary
- A dedication to delivering exceptional service to all stakeholders with a customer-centric approach
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
- Advanced problem-solving skills, showing proficiency in issue identification, creative thinking, and solution recommendations
- Strong attention to detail across all aspects of work
