FP&A Revenue Lead

As a critical member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, you play a vital role within Anchorage's finance department, focused on analyzing financial data, generating forecasts, and providing insights to facilitate decision-making at strategic and operational levels, with a specific emphasis on revenue. This position entails conducting financial analysis to steer revenue forecasting and acting as a key stakeholder to ensure alignment with the company's financial aims and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Skills:
- Provide expertise in revenue forecasting, performance analysis, and reporting.
- Develop financial models to support actionable recommendations on strategic initiatives like new products, partnerships, pricing, and other opportunities for revenue growth.
- Implement revenue-focused technological enhancements using tools such as Netsuite, Pigment, and Salesforce.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Collaborate closely with the sales operations team to craft accurate, achievable revenue forecasts utilizing historical data, pipeline information, and market trends.
- Analyze business results and operational data sets to pinpoint patterns, trends, and significant insights for effective business strategy.
- Offer real-time insights into revenue drivers and profitability to inform decision-making.
- Assist in designing incentive programs and sales compensation structures aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee semi-annual sales compensation calculations.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Possess the ability to influence management regarding the strategic course of Anchorage through financial data application.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure individual business segments and product initiatives align with the organization's overall strategy.
Communication and Influence:
- Develop regular reports and presentations for management highlighting business performance, growth drivers, and variance analysis.
- Communicate the financial implications of sales strategies and decisions to diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the People and Sales departments to refine a sales compensation strategy in line with the market and financial objectives.
- Provide timely information to Business Operations, including revenue reporting and forecasting using Looker and enhancements to Netsuite/Salesforce integration.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or accounting.
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, ownership mentality, and willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets with the ability to translate analysis effectively into presentations.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles (US GAAP), financial analysis, and forecasting techniques.
- Experience with financial systems and implementation of enhancements (e.g., Netsuite, Looker, Pigment).
- Strategic mindset with a proven capacity to resolve complex problems while focusing on tactical and operational issues.
- Expertise in developing intricate financial models and presenting business plans, forecasts, and actionable insights.
- Experience analyzing sales and profitability metrics to drive future growth, including revenue attribution and total addressable market analysis.
- Experience collaborating with the Sales and People departments on sales compensation strategy.
Additional Qualifications (Bonus Points if Applicable):
- Expertise in analyzing large datasets using data warehouse and visualization tools like Looker.
- Experience with an Enterprise Performance Management tool.
- Bachelor's degree specializing in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting.
- Experience in the crypto or financial services sector, staying current with blockchain and crypto advancements.
- Emotional connection to the soundtrack of Hamilton, the historical portrayal of a new financial system.
