International Payroll Lead/Analyst (India)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to verify, gather, and arrange payroll data prior to submission for processing with local software or payroll providers.
- Compile and submit data to suppliers using diverse methods across multiple countries.
- Communicate with payroll providers for submissions and handle related queries.
- Validate and reconcile payroll data within set timeframes to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payments for employees and third parties.
- Act as the primary contact for inquiries from internal employees, external contributors, internal partners, and vendors.
- Address and resolve inquiries from various internal teams such as HR and finance.
- Maintain updated records, processes, and procedures.
- Implement new country payrolls efficiently and compliantly.
- Manage the transition of services smoothly from current providers to new providers.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, taking ownership, and resolving issues to resolution.
- Offer backup support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least three years of substantial experience in India/APAC payroll.
- Sound proficiency in payroll processing and best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Ability to work independently, use own initiative, and collaborate effectively within a team and with external vendors.
- Robust organizational and time management abilities in an agile environment with flexibility to adapt to changes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English and another language.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and critical thinking to analyze the impact for future consideration.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
Additional Qualifications
- Additional language skills and knowledge of payrolls beyond India/APAC are advantageous.
- Experience with crypto compensation is a plus.
