About the Role
Toku is in search of an experienced payroller to support our Payroll team in handling regular payroll duties and critical projects. The ideal candidate should excel in establishing processes and best practices with minimal supervision, focusing on German and Swiss payrolls and acting as the primary contact for additional requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect and arrange payroll data for submission
- Prepare data for payroll providers across multiple countries
- Coordinate with payroll providers for submissions and handle related queries
- Review and reconcile payroll data promptly to ensure accurate and compliant payments
- Serve as the first point of contact for internal and external queries related to payroll
- Address inquiries from various departments like HR and finance
- Maintain current records, processes, and procedures
- Implement new country payrolls efficiently and compliantly
- Facilitate smooth transitions between current and new providers
- Troubleshoot, take ownership, and resolve issues thoroughly
- Provide backup support when needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of Swiss and German payroll experience
- Profound knowledge of payroll processing and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in German and English
- Proactive approach to problem-solving
- Critical thinking skills and a futuristic perspective
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
Additional Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Fluency in additional languages
- Understanding of payrolls outside Switzerland
- Experience with crypto compensations
