International Payroll Lead/Analyst (UK)

About the Position
Toku is seeking an experienced payroller to support its Payroll team in various operational payroll tasks and strategic projects. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to establish efficient processes, adhere to best practices, and efficiently manage day-to-day payroll operations, including oversight of German and Swiss payrolls as the primary contact.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to verify, gather, and organize payroll data before processing payroll through designated localized software
- Ensure accurate submission of data to payroll providers across multiple countries using various methods
- Communicate with payroll providers, addressing submissions and resolving associated queries
- Review and reconcile payroll data promptly to ensure accurate and compliant compensation for employees and third parties
- Act as the main point of contact for internal employees, external contributors, partners, and vendors regarding payroll inquiries
- Address queries from various internal departments, including HR and finance
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records, processes, and procedures
- Implement new country payrolls while ensuring compliance and efficiency
- Facilitate seamless transitions between existing and new payroll providers
- Troubleshoot, take ownership of, and resolve issues comprehensively from inception to resolution
- Provide backup support as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of three years of strong payroll experience in the UK
- Preferably additional experience managing payrolls in Switzerland and Germany
- Proficient in payroll processing and best practices
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical skills
- Capable of independent work, using initiative, collaborating as a team member, and working with external vendors
- Strong organizational and time management skills, adaptable to an agile work environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in German and English
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
- Critical thinking abilities and a problem-solving mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional language skills are advantageous
- Knowledge of payrolls in countries beyond the UK is a plus
- Experience with crypto compensation is beneficial
