We are looking to grow our accounting team at Anchorage Digital and are seeking a Member of Financial and Regulatory Reporting to contribute significantly to our financial and regulatory reporting compliance functions. Reporting directly to the Financial and Regulatory Reporting Lead, the chosen candidate will be accountable for preparing precise, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial statements, ensuring adherence to regulatory filings, and supporting the development of a top-tier Finance department.
The role will involve producing the company's financial statements and various financial disclosures, which cover elements like share-based payments, financial instruments, crypto assets, revenue recognition, and other intricate accounting areas. There will be a necessity to collaborate across departments to assess the financial statement reporting implications and disclosure requirements of new and existing product offerings, partnering with the internal controls specialist, and contributing to the strategic financial reporting direction of the company.

Technical Skills:
- Manage the timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders based on US GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Ensure transparent and accurate financial disclosures by collaborating meticulously with various departments to meet regulatory and investor expectations.
- Support the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements and multi-entity disclosures.
- Conduct technical accounting research and assessment of related disclosures.
- Assist in implementing new GAAP accounting standards for reporting and disclosure purposes.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to craft audited financial statements.
- Aid in the preparation of monthly and quarterly regulatory reports.
- Drive the establishment and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting and coordinate with the internal controls specialist.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for multiple legal entities.
- Perform equity reconciliations and prepare equity workpapers for share-based payment awards on a consistent basis.
- On a quarterly basis, review and analyze recent developments in accounting and financial pronouncements to evaluate their impacts and circulate summaries within the company's Finance organization.

- Contribute to advancing the reporting process, implementing best practices, and utilizing technology to streamline reporting efficiency and enhance accuracy.
- Support external audit processes to ensure the precision and timeliness of financial data.
- Assist in the implementation and design of new financial software and integration tools.
- Undertake special projects in Accounting/Finance as required.

Qualifications:
- Experience in a blend of audit/financial statement reporting/technical accounting, preferably within a high-growth company.
- CPA designation.
- Knowledge of blockchain and crypto innovations.
- Proficiency working with Carta for financial reporting and reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP standards, including various ASC sections.
- Experience in handling diverse equity awards and programs from technical and operational perspectives.
- Proficient in identifying consequential matters impacting financial statements post-events through relevant material review.
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience at a publicly traded firm.
- Aptitude in IFRS financial preparation.
- Experience working remotely.
- Familiarity with Workiva, Netsuite, and FloQast platforms would be advantageous.
- Appreciation of the musical soundtrack to Hamilton, which offers insights into the establishment of a new financial system.
