Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for audit support and timely responses to auditor requests during reporting and tax cycles.
- Lead technical accounting research efforts and prepare accounting position memos for complex transactions.
- Prepare and review disclosures and supporting schedules for SEC filings.
- Facilitate communication across various departments to ensure cohesive and timely reporting.
- Maintain accounting policy documentation and identify process optimization opportunities.
- Assist in executing internal controls over financial reporting as per SOX 404.
- Collaborate with the tax department on income tax provision under ASC 740.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- 3-6 years of progressive experience in public accounting or technical accounting at a public company.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and related reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing technical accounting memos and footnote disclosures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, including pivot tables and formulas.
- Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work after hours or weekends when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in investment accounting or digital asset accounting.
- Familiarity with NetSuite, FloQast, DFin, Workiva, and/or Certent.
- Previous experience in a high-growth or fast-paced public company environment.
Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
This role may involve tasks that require the operation of a company vehicle or travel between job sites. Candidates must be insurable under CleanSpark's vehicle insurance policy.
