Senior Tax Associate, Transfer Pricing (Relocation to Hong Kong)
Job Summary:
The Financial & Accounting team encompasses various functions including Financials Control & Business Performance Management, Procurement, Digital Transformation, Tax, Treasury, and Operations. This team collaboratively optimizes global finance initiatives and takes pride in meticulous attention to detail and multitasking across diverse project scopes.
The Transfer Pricing Senior Associate / Manager will play a vital role in supporting the company's transfer pricing policies and documentation, overseeing intercompany transactions, Local File/Master File preparation, and Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR). This position requires exceptional analytical abilities, experience in financial services or technology-driven environments, and effective collaboration across teams to manage intricate intercompany structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and reconcile intercompany journal entries for transfer pricing adherence to global tax accounting standards.
- Assist in compiling and maintaining transfer pricing documentation (Local File, Master File, CbCR) in accordance with OECD and local regulations.
- Support the development and oversight of the Group transfer pricing model, implementing TP policies and legal agreements for intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate with finance teams and advisors for timely submission of CbCR, BEPS Pillar 2, and other transfer pricing filings.
- Conduct financial analyses and benchmarking to reinforce transfer pricing stances, engaging with external advisors on projects.
- Collaborate with accounting, legal, treasury, and business units to align transfer pricing activities with other business functions.
- Aid in tax and financial audits by preparing responses and necessary documentation.
- Optimize processes and utilize tax, accounting, and AI technology for improved efficiency in data collection and reporting.
- Stay informed on global tax and transfer pricing regulations, OECD guidelines, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Taxation) or certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in transfer pricing or tax, with at least 2 years in-house or at Big 4/consulting firms; fintech/tech exposure desirable.
- Profound understanding of OECD guidelines, Local File/Master File, BEPS Pillar 2, and CbCR.
- Capacity to adapt and take a hands-on approach to operational transfer pricing.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and expertise with tools like Bloomberg or RoyaltyRange.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and tax software advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, organization abilities, resourcefulness, and a drive to see projects through to completion.
- Ability to work both autonomously and in teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) preferred.
