Senior VFX Artist

** VFX Artist at Seedworld**

We are looking for a skilled VFX Artist to join our team at Seedworld, working on an exciting Metaverse project using Unreal 5.3.

As a VFX artist, you will utilize your expertise in Unreal (Niagara & Blueprint) and common artist tools (Photoshop, Substance, 3D modeling package, etc.) to develop and optimize particle systems, shaders, and visual effects that align with Seedworld's distinctive style.

Responsibilities:

• Craft visual effects art assets that balance performance, efficacy, and creativity to achieve optimal visual quality and game performance;
• Research, conceptualize, and create high-quality visual effects inspired by references and apply them across various game elements;
• Collaborate closely with the art director, game designers, and developers to ensure VFX aligns with game requirements and artistic standards;
• Share expertise and best practices with team members;
• Actively engage in technical and artistic discussions and contribute to creative problem-solving;
• Summarize work and documentations for internal and external communications.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in similar roles, with at least one AAA game released on PC or console;
• Previous experience in creating stylized 2D and 3D visual effects;
• Proficiency in Unreal game engine and Niagara;
• Familiarity with software such as Maya, Blender, Houdini, Photoshop, Substance, Embergen, etc.

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of FX shaders from a visual and technical perspective;
• Artistic vision to collaborate effectively with the Art Director;
• Thorough knowledge of 3D requirements pre-shader (UV, Texture) and the complete game pipelines;
• Experience in shader/material development;
• Ability to work efficiently, stay organized, collaborate effectively, and handle feedback professionally;
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, fluency in English, and comprehension of production values, deadlines, and priorities.

Bonus Skills:

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, HLSL, and Blueprint would be advantageous.
