About the Role
- Seeking a Social Media Intern to join the Brand & Media team part-time (minimum 20 hours per week). Responsibilities include driving audience growth and engagement on key social platforms, enhancing the visibility of editorial and video content, and positioning The Block as a leading contributor to crypto discussions.
- Ideal role for students or early-career professionals eager to explore the realm of Social Media.
- Collaborate closely with the Brand & Media team lead, assisting in day-to-day operations with a focus on strategic planning, content creation, community engagement, analytics reporting, and real-time trend monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Aid senior team members in designing and implementing a comprehensive social strategy for The Block.
- Generate campaign ideas by obtaining input from stakeholders and introducing fresh concepts.
- Share notable research and reporting highlights from The Block with major media outlets under supervision.
- Assist in promoting and showcasing internal talent.
- Maintain the content calendar, ensuring accurate tracking of upcoming releases and product announcements.
- Engage in daily posting and interactions to attract crypto enthusiasts and enhance audience engagement.
- Adapt editorial, research, and video content into platform-specific formats for various social media platforms.
- Compile and organize engagement data for weekly or monthly reporting to the marketing team.
- Monitor trends, news, and sentiments within the crypto space to identify timely posting opportunities.
- Collaborate with content creators to develop social-friendly story formats.
- Support collaborations, giveaways, and cross-promotions with crypto influencers and brands.
- Monitor discussions and comments for misinformation or shifts in sentiment, escalating critical issues when necessary.
- Gain hands-on experience with a range of tools including Slack, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, social media analytics platforms, and more.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing or possessing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related fields.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the crypto space and understanding of relevant audiences on platforms like Twitter, Discord, and Telegram.
- Ability to craft engaging social media content such as captions, memes, and video headline ideas.
- Willingness to explore new content formats and platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the capability to adapt to a consistent brand voice.
- Open to feedback and collaborative work in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools and willingness to track engagement metrics.
- Organized, proactive, and self-motivated in fast-paced remote work settings.
- Reliable in meeting deadlines while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Time Commitment & Duration

Working Hours & Time Zones
This fully remote role accepts candidates from Europe, collaborating mainly with team members from the US and Europe. While asynchronous work is promoted, some overlapping hours may be required.
