We are looking for a dedicated Business Development Manager with a sales-oriented approach and a purpose-driven mindset, ideally possessing up to 4 years of experience in the financial services or fintech sector. This position suits individuals with a robust background in sales and client relationship management, coupled with a genuine interest in private markets and alternative investments.
Main Responsibilities
- Business Development and Client Acquisition
- Secure SMEs, startups, and corporate clients interested in exploring opportunities within the Private Capital Market.
- Foster and manage a strong sales pipeline through strategic networking, partnerships, referrals, and direct engagement efforts.
- Conduct consultative sales discussions to grasp client requirements and present relevant investment options.
- Formulate strategies to enter new markets and industry sectors.
- Private Capital Market Engagement
- Educate and promote private market investment opportunities, such as private equity, venture deals, and other alternative investment structures, to clients.
- Customize investment solutions to match investor preferences for risk levels, expected returns, and structuring requirements.
- Collaborate internally to introduce optimized investment products aimed at SMEs or startup allocators.
- Relationship Management
- Cultivate enduring relationships with business owners, CFOs, founders, and key decision-makers.
- Sustain high engagement levels through routine follow-ups, investment updates, and portfolio evaluations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, acting as the main contact for investment-related queries.
- Strategy and Market Expansion
- Devise go-to-market strategies to boost brand visibility and product acceptance among SMEs and startups.
- Identify potential opportunities for customizing or white-labeling investment offerings for corporate partners.
- Offer insights on market intelligence, competitive trends, and new business openings.
- Product Commercialization and Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate with product and management teams to enhance investment products tailored for specific client segments.
- Engage in commercialization planning, product positioning, and support new product launches.
- Back operational readiness and execution for new investment products or partnership models.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, or Relationship Management roles in Financial Institutions, Investment Firms, or the Private Capital Markets.
- Strong connections or experience interacting with SMEs, startups, founders, or corporate clients.
- Sound knowledge of private investments, alternative assets, and capital markets with a focus on commercial competencies.
- Proven track record in revenue generation, client acquisition, or investment sales.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of independent work to achieve desired outcomes.
- Acute commercial awareness with the capacity to translate product value into business success.
