Financial Accounting Associate
Job Summary:
We are searching for an enthusiastic and meticulous Financial Reporting Associate to join our Finance team. This role will primarily focus on preparing statutory accounts, managing financial statement closing processes at the company level, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The Financial Reporting Associate will have a vital role in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting financial analysis for decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review statutory accounts and financial statements in alignment with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage the financial statement closing process for the company, ensuring deadlines are met and accurate financial information is provided.
- Collaborate with various teams to collect necessary data and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, identify trends, and offer insights to assist senior management in decision-making.
- Aid in implementing and improving financial reporting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations, suggest process enhancements, and ensure compliance with new requirements.
- Support external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and assisting in resolving audit findings.
- Participate in special projects and provide ad hoc financial analysis support as needed.
Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Preferred qualifications include CPA or similar certification.
- Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, statutory account preparation, or financial statement analysis.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards such as IFRS and GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in financial statement analysis and interpretation with skills in identifying trends, variances, and risks.
- Familiarity with financial statement closing processes, including month-end and year-end activities.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work accurately within tight deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and build effective working relationships with cross-functional teams.
