Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and self-driven Financial Reporting Associate to become part of our team. This position revolves around overseeing the accounting and financial reporting aspects of investment entities. The role involves aiding in the preparation of financial statements for subsidiaries and managing end-to-end accounting for smaller entities. The ideal candidate should possess a solid grounding in accounting principles, exceptional analytical capabilities, and the capacity to thrive independently in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining precise and current accounting records for investment entities through tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Monitoring and recording investment transactions, valuations, and associated income/expenses.
- Ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards like IFRS and US GAAP as well as regulatory mandates.
- Assisting in crafting financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for subsidiaries.
- Overseeing complete accounting processes for smaller entities, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for smaller entities.
- Recognizing opportunities to streamline accounting and reporting procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Providing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting support as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is advantageous.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or audit, preferably involving exposure to investment entities or financial services.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards such as IFRS, US GAAP, and financial reporting regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience in full-set accounting and managing smaller entities is a bonus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative team-work approach.
- Capability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet strict deadlines.
