Global Account Manager (SaaS, Korean-speaking)
Our client seeks an experienced professional to serve as a Global Account Manager with a focus on driving market expansion activities in South Korea.
The client is a technology company that specializes in providing businesses with precise economic and industry insights to aid in decision-making processes. Their platform streamlines data collection and analysis for professionals such as bankers, consultants, and corporate executives, enabling them to concentrate on strategic initiatives and business growth. Originally established in Japan in 2008, the company is currently undergoing rapid growth throughout Asia.
As the chosen candidate, you will hold a pioneering role in establishing the sales function from the ground up and introducing a leading business information platform to major enterprises and professional firms. This represents a unique opportunity to mold a new market, cultivate strong partnerships with prominent corporations and financial institutions, and potentially progress into a leadership position as the company expands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead new business development initiatives and attain challenging sales targets within the South Korean market.
- Lead client acquisition processes, including needs assessment, presentations, negotiations, and deal closures.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies.
- Present tailored proposals to professional firms (e.g., investment banks, securities firms, insurers, consulting and M&A advisory firms, private equity funds, etc.).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless value delivery.
- Take charge of establishing the market, with the possibility of establishing and directing a local office in Korea.
Requirements:
- Over 10 years of demonstrated success in corporate sales and new business development specifically in the South Korean market, with a history of surpassing sales targets.
- Native-level proficiency in Korean, along with business communication skills in English or Japanese.
- Display an entrepreneurial mindset and exhibit the capacity to devise innovative strategies beyond existing frameworks.
- Previous experience in interacting with senior-level decision-makers at large organizations.
- Dedication to driving sustainable business expansion while taking ownership and maintaining accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions or business start-ups.
- Prior involvement in sales activities that require in-depth knowledge of corporate decision-making hierarchies.
- Existing professional network within major South Korean enterprises.
- Proficiency in Japanese is advantageous, though not mandatory.
