About the Role
Toku is seeking an experienced payroller to support our Payroll team in various aspects of payroll operations and lead important projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate should excel in establishing processes, entities, and best practices while managing day-to-day payroll tasks effectively with minimal supervision. This role will primarily oversee German payrolls and serve as the primary contact for additional needs.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather and organize payroll data for processing
- Coordinate and submit payroll data to providers locally and across multiple countries
- Collaborate with payroll providers, address queries, and ensure accurate and timely payments
- Act as the first point of contact for inquiries from internal and external parties
- Maintain up-to-date records, processes, and compliance with payroll procedures
- Facilitate compliant and efficient implementation of new country payrolls
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related issues independently
- Provide support when needed to ensure seamless operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of strong German payroll experience
- Proficient in payroll processing and best practices
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with teams and vendors
- Strong organization, time management, and adaptability to change
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
- Proactive problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional language skills are beneficial
- Knowledge of payrolls outside Germany is advantageous
- Prior experience with crypto compensation is a plus
