Position Overview
Toku seeks an experienced payroller to support the Payroll team in day-to-day payroll tasks and strategic projects. The ideal candidate will excel in setting up processes, entities, and best practices independently while managing regular payroll functions effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather and organize payroll data for processing
- Prepare and submit payroll data through various methods in multiple countries
- Engage with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and address any issues that arise
- Validate and reconcile payroll data promptly to ensure compliance and accuracy in employee payments
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries from internal and external parties
- Maintain up-to-date records, processes, and procedures for efficient payroll management
- Facilitate the implementation of new country payrolls and smooth transitions between providers
- Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues efficiently from start to finish
- Provide support as needed to cover for absences or additional workload
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum three years of Spanish payroll experience
- Proficient in payroll processing and compliance best practices
- Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with adaptability to change
- Fluent in Spanish and English with strong communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving skills with critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Additional language proficiency is a plus
- Knowledge of payrolls outside of Spain is advantageous
- Experience with crypto compensation is beneficial
