About the Role
Toku is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee all payroll operations in India and throughout APAC.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing full-cycle local and EOR payrolls, ensuring statutory compliance for global clients. A proactive and motivated approach is essential to meet the evolving needs of traditional compensation methods worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and organize payroll data for processing
- Lead monthly payroll activities for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Reconcile payroll data within specified timeframes to guarantee compliant and precise payments
- Maintain updated records, processes, and procedures for payroll operations
- Resolve payroll-related issues promptly and comprehensively
- Handle statutory filings and remain updated on payroll compliance requirements in India
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all payroll activities
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to payroll
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in payroll management or equivalent
- Proficiency in English, with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Sound knowledge of payroll processing and best practices
- Familiarity with payroll software tools such as SAP, Excel, or Google Sheets
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including with external vendors
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a remote and agile work environment
- Entrepreneurial mindset and experience in founding or developing projects is a bonus
