Description
The Security Site Lead role involves overseeing the security staff at a designated location to ensure the safety and security of the premises, staff, and visitors. Reporting directly to the Security Field Supervisor, the Site Lead plays a crucial role in supervising the team, coordinating personnel, and monitoring equipment. Their primary responsibility is to manage incidents and implement preventive measures to safeguard the organization from theft and maintain order.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the daily activities of on-site security officers, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provide clear direction to security personnel, fostering a cohesive and motivated team environment.
- Conduct regular briefings and debriefings with the security staff for effective communication.
- Ensure smooth and effective execution of security operations, maintaining high safety and security standards.
- Assist in training new security officers and ensuring all personnel are knowledgeable about site-specific protocols.
- Conduct checks on security equipment for optimal functionality.
- Review Daily Activity Reports and address any violations promptly.
- Coordinate and manage shift schedules for proper deployment of security personnel.
- Perform security staff duties when needed and complete incident reports accurately.
Access Control
- Monitor and control access to facilities, allowing authorized personnel and visitors only.
- Verify identification and credentials at entry points.
Surveillance
- Utilize surveillance equipment to monitor activities within and around the premises.
- Report any suspicious behavior promptly.
Patrol and Inspection
- Conduct regular facility patrols to deter security threats.
- Perform routine inspections to mitigate potential risks.
Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents.
- Collaborate with emergency services and adhere to established protocols for various scenarios.
Customer Service
- Provide professional assistance to all individuals and offer directions as needed.
Report Writing
- Maintain detailed logs of security-related activities.
- Complete and submit incident reports accurately.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with security personnel and relevant departments to ensure an effective security program.
- Communicate security concerns with team members and management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of management/leadership experience in security, law enforcement, or military.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant security, law enforcement, or military experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training is advantageous.
- Previous experience as a security guard or similar role.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
- Physical fitness to perform security duties for extended periods.
Additional Requirements
- Valid State Security Guard License and Driver's License.
- Honorable discharge from military service preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification is beneficial.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must pass a Nationwide Background Check.
