Senior Finance Analyst – Accounts Receivable (AR)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Finance Analyst – AR to join our team at Toku. As the Senior Finance Analyst, you will primarily focus on client invoicing, revenue accounting, accounts receivable monitoring, client coordination, intercompany revenue billing, and bank reconciliation. This role requires strong financial expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to streamline and enhance accounts receivable processes. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate invoicing, efficient collections, and seamless client communication.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Invoicing:
- Create, review, and deliver client invoices promptly and accurately, adhering to contract terms.
- Validate invoice details, including pricing, taxes, and supporting documentation, prior to issuance.
- Ensure compliance with local tax rules when applicable and coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Track invoice status and communicate with clients for on-time payments.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Functions & Client Coordination:
- Monitor AR aging reports, pursue timely collections through proactive follow-ups.
- Reconcile client accounts, resolve disputes, and address outstanding balances.
- Serve as a primary contact point for clients regarding invoice inquiries and adjustments.
- Provide regular AR reports to the management, highlighting overdue accounts and collection patterns.
Revenue Accounting & Recognition:
- Execute precise revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Document revenue transactions with appropriate approvals and records.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures linked to revenue accounting.
Intercompany Revenue Billing:
- Process intercompany revenue invoices as per internal guidelines.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and collaborate with finance teams to resolve any disparities.
- Ensure intercompany revenue allocations align with contractual obligations.
Bank Reconciliation & Receipt Applications:
- Conduct bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate application of client payments.
- Investigate and resolve unapplied cash or unidentified transactions.
- Maintain meticulous records of receipts and offer payment trend insights.
Process Enhancement & Compliance:
- Identify and implement process improvements concerning client invoicing, AR, and collections.
- Guarantee adherence to company policies, tax regulations, and accounting norms.
- Collaborate with IT teams on automation initiatives for invoicing and AR monitoring.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3-6 years of experience in AR, invoicing, and intercompany billing.
- Proficient in GAAP, IFRS, or other revenue recognition principles.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Xero, SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERPs.
- Strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding communication abilities for effective client and team coordination.
- Capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
