Your Responsibilities:
As part of the Policy team, you will contribute to a risk analysis unit focused on identifying and mitigating threats that could impact trust and safety within the Circle ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in handling large data sets to identify and address potential risks associated with Circle and USDC. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective cross-team collaboration, along with a strategic, analytical approach to problem-solving. The role involves deep diving into new product functionalities to assess their alignment with existing policies and systems. We seek motivated individuals with a background in combatting illicit finance, capable of tackling analytical challenges and formulating robust policies and procedures.
Key Duties:
- Conduct thorough investigations into illicit activities such as market manipulation, money laundering, and fraud.
- Develop metrics to extract insights from internal and external data sets.
- Analyze large data sets and flag activities for further review, using blockchain analytics tools.
- Offer technical guidance on complex analyses and recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Assist in managing requests from law enforcement, banking partners, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management to identify risks, document controls, and enhance risk programs.
- Proactively suggest improvements to existing procedures and controls to drive operational enhancements.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in AML investigations within a financial institution, preferably with blockchain investigation background.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
- Experience working with large transactional data sets; familiarity with SQL is beneficial.
- Effective communication skills and ability to foster collaborative relationships across teams.
- Proficiency in blockchain forensic tools (e.g., Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM Labs).
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Bonus: CAMS or CFCS certification, proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, and Apple MacOS.
- Educational background in Law, Business, or Intelligence Studies is advantageous.
Additional Details:
- Eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates.
- Compensation based on various factors such as experience, skill set, and organizational needs.
- Compensation Package:
- Base Pay Range: $102,500 - $137,500
- Annual Bonus Target: 12.5%
- Equity & Benefits: inclusive of medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans.
- Discretionary vacation policy, 10 paid sick days/year, and 11 paid holidays/year in the U.S.
