Strategic Finance Analyst
About the Role
As the Strategic Finance Manager, you will oversee the financial budgeting processes at the group level, encompassing various business areas such as operating, advisory, investment, and trading. Your responsibilities include financial forecasting and analysis, coordination of Investor Relations activities, management of portfolios across multiple subsidiaries, and involvement in group-wide financial transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial budgeting process by collaborating with business units to align group-level initiatives with local strategies, assess project ROIs, identify risks and opportunities, and prioritize investments.
- Develop financial models and provide data analytics to gain insights into business conditions, evaluate the economic impacts of different actions, and assist in decision-making processes.
- Act as a valued partner to subsidiaries and group businesses by identifying performance trends and explaining unexpected variances.
- Analyze financial performance based on products, channels, and partners, and provide recommendations to scale the business and enhance profitability.
- Offer decision support by monitoring business drivers, industry trends, and competitor benchmarks for informed decision-making.
- Produce financial analysis reports for senior management regularly and on an ad-hoc basis to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Enhance the finance function by promoting innovation and automation in reporting, planning, and analysis.
- Manage Investor Relations activities by delivering regular reports to major investors and addressing queries promptly.
- Participate in strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, fundraising activities, and strategic discussions by creating valuation models, conducting due diligence, and contributing to decision-making processes.
Requirements:
- Possess over 5 years of experience in similar roles (FP&A, Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Strategy/Consulting, etc.).
- Hold at least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; a Master's/MBA is advantageous.
- Strong quantitative skills and effective communication abilities.
- Self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset.
