About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven sales leader to join our Figure Lending team. In this role, you will focus on identifying new business opportunities and forming partnerships with Mortgage Originators and Servicers outside the traditional banking sector. You will build a strong network, source and structure deals, negotiate agreements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute partnership strategies.
What You’ll Do
- Identify and cultivate impactful partnership opportunities for Figure's Lending as a Service and Wholesale platforms, with a primary focus on HELOC solutions.
- Drive the sales development process, including deal terms, opportunity sizing, risk mitigation, and execution planning.
- Act as the main point of contact during the sales process and maintain effective communication with partner organizations.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop sales strategies and enhance visibility in the target market.
- Provide leadership and product teams with feedback from partners and customers to inform product enhancements.
- Utilize internal and external data to generate business recommendations that add value for both Figure and our partners.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and contribute insights on partnership-driven customer experiences.
- Stay informed about industry offerings and market competition, and develop strategies for success.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience in partnership/business development within the Independent Mortgage Bank, Servicer, and Broker community.
- Strong sales skills and a proactive mindset.
- Problem-solving abilities and a structured approach to address challenging issues.
- Excellent commercial and product instincts.
- Effective communicator comfortable presenting to senior executives and decision makers.
- Data-driven decision-making and a focus on analysis.
- Responsive, solution-oriented, and proactive in addressing business needs.
- Curiosity and creativity to drive improved partnerships and business outcomes.
- Demonstrated success in deal-making and growth leadership through strategic partnerships.
- Capability to prepare industry analyses, presentations, and executive-level reports.
- Strong record of collaborating cross-functionally and prioritizing competing demands.
